About Raj Seshadri
As president of data and services at Mastercard, I’m responsible for a global team that helps our customers make smarter decisions with better outcomes.
Encompassing insights and analytics, loyalty, innovation and ‘test and learn’ services and consulting, we focus on partnering with our customers to enhance business performance, elevate consumer experiences and enable innovation. Ultimately, it’s about helping them gain more customers, more sales, more often.
Before taking on this role, I served as president of U.S. issuers, where I managed and grew the company’s core business, services and partnerships with banks and credit unions in a very competitive market.
Previously, I held leadership roles at BlackRock, Citi, U.S. Trust, and McKinsey & Company. Earlier in my career I was a post-doctoral fellow at AT&T Bell Laboratories. In addition to serving on boards, I am a member of the Partnership for New York David Rockefeller Fellows Program and previously served as an adjunct professor at the Columbia Business School.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College in physics and mathematics, a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in physics from Harvard University.
