Gina Petersen-Skyrme is a passionate leader and seasoned Payments and Financial Services professional who has managed teams in Australia and the Middle East, where she has spent the last 17 years of her career. Gina offers a unique mix of strategic thinking, commercial drive and both operational and implementation expertise (gained through a +20-year career where she has “grown by doing” and “leads by showing”. Excited by the ever-evolving payments and landscape and the dynamic MENA Fintech industry, Gina aspires to play a pivotal role in driving innovation, adoption and change. She is a dynamic presenter and an expert at crafting compelling business narratives that influence internal and external audiences to incite action. Gina’s Middle East experience includes holding critical roles at Barclays Bank, Al khaliji bank, the Qatar Government and the enterprising launch of her own strategic communications consultancy – BRAVE. Gina Petersen-Skyrme also led the Merchant Business for American Express Middle East in the UAE. In her current role, Gina is the Vice President, Country Business Manager, UAE and Oman at Mastercard.
