James Anderson | Mastercard | Fintech Finance
James Anderson is Executive Vice President of Commercial & B2B Solutions at Mastercard and a member of the company’s management committee. In this role, he is responsible for all of Mastercard’s products and programs targeted at business users – including Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Travel and Entertainment programs, virtual card solutions for Accounts Payables and a set of new Business to Business products under development. Before taking on his current role, James Anderson served as Executive Vice President of Digital Payment Products, leading three initiatives; Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES), Masterpass and the API platform. James Anderson has spent his career at the intersection of mobile, payment and internet technologies in Product Development, Business Development and General Management roles. Emerging Payments product development leader with proven track record as the executive in charge of large, complex and game-changing initiatives including Mastercard's participation in Apple Pay, Cloud-based payments, and Remote EMV payments (secure payments, non face-to-face). Have repeatedly taken an idea from initial concept through to market launch, navigating the technical and business challenges along the way. Extremely creative, but in a very disciplined way. Have built teams from scratch, and rebuilt teams, focused them and led them to great accomplishments. Experienced managing teams delivering requirements into both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies simultaneously. James Anderson is a senior leader in payments and fintech. Seen within the payments industry as a thought leader - sought out to speak at industry events and comment to the media (print and TV) on industry events and their impact. James Anderson, based in New York, NY, US, is currently a Chief Executive Officer at Hokari, Inc..
