About Bart Willaert

Bart Willaert is EVP for Open Banking International markets. Before he was leading Fintech Issuing Processing solutions. In this role he is responsible for driving the global portfolio of Mastercard Processing and Program management assets enabling fintechs, financial institutions, key retailers with issuing processing solutions and global program management capabilities. Prior to this role Bart lead the Global Digital Market Solutions & Deployment team, which focused on optimizing the performance and the scaling the deployment of Mastercard digital solutions and prior was the SVP Real Time Payments & Commercial Solutions for Mastercard in Europe. Before Bart was general manager for Mastercard in France and before general manager in Nordics & Baltics, responsible for developing and executing Mastercard strategy. Prior to joining Mastercard, Bart was Project Leader with The Boston Consulting Group and worked as entrepreneur in a technology startup.  Bart Willaert holds a 1993 - 1999 Commercial engineer in business informatics in Economics, Management, software engineering & architecture @ Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
