As Executive Vice President of Brand, Advertising, Media, Digital Marketing and Research, Cheryl Guerin is responsible for the overall stewardship, innovation and activation of the global Mastercard brand, managing the highly decorated priceless advertising campaign for consumers, as well as extending to B2B, driving innovative media and digital marketing, and delivering foresights and insights that inform and inspire business decisions, new offerings, and communications across the company.
Guerin joined Mastercard in 2000 and has led several areas for the company including, North America Marketing & Communications, US Marketing, Global Digital Marketing, North America Products & Services, and Global Credit Products. Prior to this Cheryl worked on the advertising agency side, driving marketing strategy and execution for major brands across multiple categories, such as packaged goods, travel, consumer electronics, B2B and financial services.
Cheryl has received numerous industry awards and accolades for advertising, marketing programs, product innovation, communications, digital and experiential marketing, most recently for creating Mastercard’s breakthrough card feature True Name: 2021 Cannes Lion Grand Prix, 2021 Grand Clio, 2021 ANDY Bravest Brand award and D&AD Pencil. Effie has also recognized Cheryl’s work including True Name, the launch of Priceless Cities experiences program, and Mastercard overall received the prestigious 5 for 50 Effie recognizing sustained relevance and effectiveness of the long-standing priceless campaign.
Guerin is an Executive Director for the Advertising Club of New York and is on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House New York and Women In Payments.
