Adam Vos
Adam Vos is Global Head of BNY Mellon Markets, a uniquely connected provider of trading and financing services supporting the bank’s renowned custody and asset-management franchises. Adam also serves as a member of the BNY Mellon Executive Committee. He is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and global implementation of innovative client solutions across foreign exchange, fixed income and equities, securities finance, liquidity and margin, outsourced trading and transition management. Adam Vos is a highly disciplined and results-oriented leader, with two decades’ experience spanning all three continents in capital-markets trading, risk management, hedging, e-commerce and regulatory reporting at some of the world’s largest financial institutions. He also holds a number of industry advisory positions, including the Vice Chair of the Global Financial Markets Association, together with the FX group, which both advocate for the efficient functioning of global markets. He is also a member of the FED New York Foreign Exchange Committee (FXC). He began his career trading FX and interest rates for the Bank of New Zealand and in 2004 moved to London as a trader for Deutsche Bank. He was appointed Global Head of FX Forwards in 2008. In 2013, Adam was promoted to Co-Chief Operating Officer for Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) at Deutsche Bank, and in 2014 he relocated to New York as head of FX North America. Adam joined BNY Mellon Markets in 2016 as head of FX and in 2019 was named co-head of the Markets group, before assuming sole leadership. He remains laser focused on delivering a seamless experience to clients across the enterprise, arming them with the latest insights and strategies they need to navigate today’s increasingly complex markets. Raised in New Zealand, he is passionate about endurance cycling, mountain biking, recreational skiing and the All Blacks rugby team. He is a graduate of University of Waikato in Hamilton, where he obtained a Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) with First Class Honors and a double major in finance and economics.
