About Jason Vitale
Mr. Vitale is Global Head of FX, Fixed Income & Equities at the Bank of New York Mellon. Mr Vitale, based in New York is a Managing Director and member of the Bank’s Global Markets Executive Committee.
Operating from 12 offices around the world, Bank of New York’s FX, Fixed Income & Equities provides execution sales, trading, Origination (DCM, ECM), Algorithmic Trading, Prime Brokerage, Overlay, FX Payments, Macro strategy and data services to its Institutional clients.
Prior to joining the Bank of New York Mellon, Mr. Vitale spent 12 years at Deutsche Bank in various Fixed Income and FX Roles. Most recently, Mr Vitale was Co-Head of Listed Derivatives and Markets Clearing EMEA & Global Head of Foreign Exchange Prime Brokerage (FXPB) with Deutsche Bank AG. Deutsche Bank’s Listed Derivatives & Markets Clearing business provides listed futures execution/clearing, fixed income intermediation (interest rates, FX & Credit), OTC Clearing and portfolio financing (bank loans & fixed income securities). Jason was a member of Deutsche Bank’s Global FX (GFX) and Listed Derivative Clearing (LD&C) management teams.
Jason is currently a board member of the “Global Foreign Exchange Division” (GFX), a sub board to the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA).
Mr. Vitale has held a number of non-executive director board positions. Jason was a Director of the Board of CLS Group Holdings AG where he was Chair of its Board Strategy Committee and member of both the Chairman’s & Nominating and Governance Committees. Jason was also a director of the Board of the Foreign Exchange Professionals Association (FXPA).
Jason represents the Bank of New York and the FX industry on a number of Market Structure/Regulatory/Central Bank bodies. Mr. Vitale was a founding committee member of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Global Markets Advisory Committee for Foreign Exchange Markets (FEM), appointed by CFTC Commissioner Mark Wetjen in 2014.
Mr. Vitale completed his undergraduate work in Finance at the University of Arizona, and studied abroad at Cambridge University (UK).
