Andreas Andreades has been a pivotal part of Temenos since he joined in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer, becoming Deputy Chief Executive in 2001. He served as Chief Executive Officer from 2003 until 2011, when he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2012 he was appointed Executive Chairman of the Temenos Board of Directors, adding the CEO role as from January 2023 until April 2024.
During his 24-year tenure, Andreas Andreades has driven the company's exceptional growth. Since he joined Temenos in 1999, the Company has grown from less than 150 employees to circa 7,000 and circa 3,000 clients generating approx. USD 1 billion in annual revenues and achieving a market capitalization of circa USD 5.5 billion, establishing it as the global leader in banking software. Since 2003 the market capitalization of Temenos has grown by more than 100 times or a compound average of 25% per annum.
Recognizing the importance of following positive environmental, social and governance principles, Andreas Andreades acts as the Board's executive sponsor for ESG matters and is a member of
Temenos Nomination & ESG Committee. In 2022 Temenos was awarded the top ESG rating by Morgan Stanley Capital Investment.
Andreas Andreades's career began at KPMG in London where he worked as an Audit Manager and qualified as a chartered accountant. He went on to become a Sales Director for Pepsico in Athens before
joining Temenos almost 25 years ago.
Together with his wife Aspa, Andreas Andreades is an active philanthropist and keen art collector.
Andreas Andreades studied at the University of Cambridge and holds a Master's degree in engineering.
