About Chris Kenning

Stubben Edge is a technology-based financial services group that enables intermediaries and their clients to make easy decisions about their risks and how to protect or save against them, putting their success at the heart of everything we do so people can get back to what really matters.

Its two businesses include Lucid UX, which tailors software, data and analytics solutions for clients across multiple regulated sectors. For those clients Stubben Edge Risk leverages its relationships, actuarial and product knowledge to develop niche products alongside both intermediaries and financial institutions.

The Group launched in 2018 in response to the need in the financial services industry for a partner who could provide deep market understanding and the technology, data and capacity to deliver innovation at speed.

Our view is that existing intermediaries are in the best position to disrupt and adapt and it is our job to help them – so that more people can get the financial advice they need. With many insurance providers constrained by a one-size-fits-all approach to solutions and products, Stubben Edge instead offer their clients bespoke solutions, expert knowledge, cutting-edge technology, and the ability to structure across multiple financial services markets UK-wide and internationally.

Lucid UX, as well as being the technology engine room of the group, has also delivered a range of solutions, tools and apps for clients in other regulated sectors including finance, healthcare and engineering. Lucid’s sole purpose has been to help these clients overcome and thrive in these environments through the delivery of agile, scalable solutions to meet an ever-changing landscape of technology and regulation.

For an intermediary looking to access products for the average customer on the street seeking insurance, Stubben Edge Risk have compiled a selection of niche and complementary products across all sectors that cover the gaps that big insurers either can’t or won’t service. The company’s aim is to provide cover that is suitable for all circumstances because they believe it is their duty to ensure they can minimise the impact of the lottery of life as much as possible.
