Trustfull Launches Investigator to Accelerate Fraud Analysis Through Conversational AI

WHY THIS MATTERS

The launch of Investigator by digital identity intelligence company Trustfull on June 2, 2026, represents a significant shift in financial crime detection: the transition from rigid, dashboard-centric parameter checking to autonomous AI-powered investigative orchestration. The rise of generative AI has fundamentally altered the threat landscape, allowing transnational cyber syndicates to run hyper-automated, industrial-scale identity fraud schemes. According to Interpol, organized crime networks are weaponizing AI to rapidly iterate synthetic profiles and scale deepfake-driven phishing campaigns at an unprecedented clip.

Historically, fraud analysts responding to these threats have been severely throttled by alert fatigue and tool fragmentation. Investigating a single suspicious onboarding attempt routinely requires an analyst to copy-paste data lines across disconnected databases—manually querying individual tools for Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), parsing phone carrier metadata, analyzing email domain reputations, and cross-referencing IP blacklists.

Trustfull Investigator leverages a conversational AI interface to permanently dismantle these manual data-gathering silos. By translating natural language commands (such as “Assess this onboarding attempt”) into programmatic API calls, the engine instantly evaluates the risk profile. It automatically correlates cross-media data anomalies, shifting the analyst’s role from a low-efficiency data assembler to an elite risk interpreter.

Fraud prevention company Trustfull has launched Investigator, a new conversational AI solution designed to help fraud teams assess risk signals and investigate suspicious activity faster.

Through natural language interactions, analysts can examine emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, web domains and onboarding attempts simply by describing what they want to analyze. The platform automatically determines which intelligence sources to query, orchestrates the relevant checks and returns structured, explainable fraud signals in seconds.

The new product launch comes as fraud teams face growing operational pressure driven by heavily industrialized fraud activity. According to Interpol, organized fraud networks are using AI to scale their operations globally, improving the speed and effectiveness of their attacks at an unprecedented rate.

While traditional fraud tools usually require analysts to know exactly which manual checks to run and how to correlate signals across multiple systems and data sources, Trustfull Investigator was designed to interpret a wide range of digital intelligence signals through a single conversational workflow.

For example, analysts can ask Trustfull Investigator to uncover and explain the importance of risk signals on any phone number globally, such as disposable number indicators and the presence of connected accounts, or instantly assess an email address by checking data breach exposure, deliverability and domain reputation. The platform also supports IP analysis, including VPN and proxy detection, and website checks on ownership, hosting and digital ad activity.

Investigations can start with simple questions such as “Check whether this phone number looks suspicious”, “Assess this onboarding attempt”, or “Analyze this email and linked digital signals”. Based on the request, Trustfull Investigator automatically correlates the relevant intelligence signals and presents the findings in a structured and explainable format.

Marko Maras, CEO of Trustfull, commented:

“Fraud analysts do not need more dashboards, but faster access to reliable and explainable intelligence. Trustfull Investigator was built to reduce friction through AI-powered orchestration, allowing teams to uncover and correlate risk signals faster without sacrificing visibility or control.”

Trustfull Investigator is now available for all users within the Trustfull platform.

FF NEWS TAKE

Trustfull is aggressively capitalizing on its recent €6 million funding round—led by Seaya Ventures and Elevator Ventures—to establish its footprint in the European “TrustTech” market. Under the leadership of CEO Marko Maras, the Milan-headquartered company has constructed a massive multi-chain data graph that quietly scores over 100 million transactions annually for tier-1 enterprises like ING Bank, Elavon, and Nexi.

The launch of Investigator moves the platform’s utility from silent backend risk-scoring to high-velocity front-office threat hunting. Rather than adding another complex graphical interface to an already cluttered corporate IT environment, Trustfull’s conversational engine functions as an autonomous middleware dispatcher.
