PlannerPal has integrated its AI workflow technology into Twenty7tec’s ADVICE CRM, marking a significant expansion for the firm into the UK mortgage market. This partnership allows mortgage advisers to automate documentation and meeting intelligence within their existing systems, addressing the growing regulatory demand for consistent, well-evidenced advice across large-scale brokerage operations.

What was announced

PlannerPal, an AI workflow solution for UK financial advisers, has launched a partnership with Twenty7tec to bring its technology to mortgage advisers via the ADVICE CRM. The integration allows users to capture client meetings—whether conducted in person or virtually—and automatically generate notes, letters, and reports using their firm’s specific templates. These documents can then be uploaded directly back into ADVICE at the adviser, client, or enquiry level.

The launch marks PlannerPal’s expansion into the mortgage sector; the firm’s technology is already utilized by financial advice firms managing a combined £150bn in client assets. Beyond document generation, the system provides pre-meeting preparation packs and meeting observation tools, featuring customizable questions and scoring to provide advisers with context and feedback for professional development.

One of the first firms to implement the technology is Charles Cameron & Associates, a London-based independent mortgage broker and part of the Amber River group. The firm has deployed PlannerPal across its 130 advisers. Rather than using open AI tools, the firm opted for PlannerPal’s closed environment, which allows advisers to review all generated content before it is committed to the CRM, ensuring they maintain control over the advice record. PlannerPal and Twenty7tec have indicated they intend to deepen the integration further based on feedback from partner firms.

"After three weeks, over 90% of our advisers were actively using it, not just telling us they like it, but genuinely engaging with it. A key benefit is that it works around how our advisers naturally advise, rather than making them sound scripted. This means we can capture consistent advice documentation across all our advisers, so they are free to focus on providing quality advice to clients."

The companies involved

Twenty7tec is a prominent technology provider in the UK mortgage and wealth management sectors. Its ADVICE CRM serves as a central hub for mortgage professionals to manage client relationships, research, and regulatory requirements. The company frequently expands its ecosystem through strategic integrations and partnerships, maintaining a significant footprint in the intermediary market.

PlannerPal specializes in the "client intelligence" layer of financial advice. By focusing on the conversation itself rather than just post-meeting administration, the company aims to provide advisers with more capacity while ensuring advice is robust and well-evidenced. The firm’s approach emphasizes a closed AI environment, addressing the security and data privacy concerns often associated with generative AI in highly regulated financial services.

Charles Cameron & Associates operates as a leading independent mortgage broker with a specific focus on the employee benefit sector. As a business within the Amber River group, it represents a significant scale of operation in the London market, where maintaining consistency of advice across a large team of advisers is a primary operational challenge.

What FF News has reported before

FF News recently covered PlannerPal’s growth trajectory in PlannerPal Secures $6m to Scale AI Client Intelligence for UK Wealth and Mortgage Sectors, which detailed the firm's successful funding round aimed at expanding its reach. Twenty7tec has also been a frequent subject of reporting, particularly regarding its platform expansions and long-term strategic moves, such as those detailed in Twenty7tec and New Leaf Network Extend Strategic Mortgage Tech Partnership for Three Years. We have also tracked Twenty7tec’s role in facilitating niche market access, as seen in Gable Mortgages Integrates with Twenty7tec to Expand Zero-Deposit Access. Additionally, the broader economic context of the mortgage market was highlighted in Sprive CEO Warns of Long-Term Debt Risks as 46% of Mortgages Hit High Income Multiples.

What this means

This integration signals a shift in how AI is being deployed within the mortgage sector, moving from generic productivity tools to deeply embedded, compliance-focused "co-pilots." As regulatory scrutiny around Consumer Duty intensifies, the pressure on mortgage brokerages to prove consistent suitability at scale is mounting. Firms that rely on manual note-taking or fragmented systems are increasingly vulnerable to "advice gap" risks. By providing a closed AI environment that integrates directly into the primary CRM, PlannerPal and Twenty7tec are addressing the industry's need for "defensible" AI—technology that supports the adviser's expertise without compromising the security of sensitive client data.
