Kyckr has appointed Jack Rawden as Head of Product to lead its expansion into perpetual KYB and risk signals. The move addresses growing demand for live, verified registry data as regulated firms struggle with the friction and data quality issues inherent in traditional, static business onboarding processes.

What was announced

Kyckr, the global Know Your Business (KYB) data provider, has named Jack Rawden as its new Head of Product. Rawden is tasked with overseeing a product expansion strategy focused on three core pillars: risk signals, registry intelligence, and perpetual KYB. This initiative aims to transition regulated firms away from static third-party data toward live, verified sources. Rawden joins with over 15 years of experience in regulated product environments, having previously served as Chief Product Officer at Detected and Head of Product at Fraudfinder.

The appointment follows a period of significant leadership restructuring at Kyckr, including the arrival of Steve Lamb as CEO in August 2025 and Ian Jones as Chief Technology Officer in early 2026. The company is currently in its 20th year of operation and maintains connections to more than 300 official company and beneficial ownership registers globally. This infrastructure supports its recent recognition as a Category Leader for KYC Data Solutions by Chartis Research for three consecutive years, as well as a Disruptor Award for Risk Intelligence and Data Management in the Chartis Research RiskTech100 2027.

The strategic focus on product development comes as Kyckr’s State of Onboarding 2026 report identified data quality and fragmented registry access as the primary hurdles for firms during the onboarding process. By increasing investment in engineering and product, the firm intends to address these friction points at scale.

"I’m delighted to join Kyckr at a pivotal and ambitious moment in its journey. Having spent over a decade in regulated environments, I know well how Kyckr has established itself as the go-to for business registry data, and I’m looking forward to building on that reputation and product set. With the mounting pressure on businesses to overhaul onboarding processes, there’s real scope to add value and simplicity for our customers, and I can’t wait to get started."

The companies involved

Kyckr is a long-standing specialist in the Know Your Business (KYB) and corporate identity space, providing regulated entities with real-time access to primary source data. Operating for two decades, the company has positioned itself as a critical infrastructure provider for financial institutions and fintechs that require verified information on corporate structures and beneficial ownership. Unlike traditional data aggregators that rely on cached or periodically updated databases, Kyckr’s model centers on direct connectivity to over 300 official government registries worldwide.

This approach is designed to mitigate the risks associated with "stale" data in anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) workflows. The company has maintained a consistent presence in the risk technology sector, recently earning a Disruptor Award for Risk Intelligence and Data Management in the Chartis Research RiskTech100 2027. Under its current leadership, the firm has pivoted toward a more aggressive product-led growth strategy, emphasizing the automation of document retrieval and the integration of live risk signals into the onboarding journey.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has tracked Kyckr’s accelerating momentum throughout 2026, recently reporting that Kyckr Achieves Record 46% Revenue Growth as Global Demand for Live KYB Data Surges. This growth coincides with a broader industry shift toward digital identity; in September, we noted that 83% of UK Businesses Willing to Pay for Reusable Digital IDs to End Banking Friction. The company’s ecosystem has also expanded through key technical integrations. In 2025, Strise Partners With Kyckr to Automate KYB Beyond Document Retrieval, building on earlier foundational work where Experian integrates with Kyckr for real-time verification of over 120 million companies globally.

What this means

The shift toward "perpetual KYB" marks a fundamental change in how the industry views compliance. For years, business verification was treated as a point-in-time hurdle, but increasing regulatory scrutiny is making static data a significant operational liability. By hiring a product lead with a background in platform-centric KYB, Kyckr is signaling that the market for simple document retrieval is maturing into a market for continuous monitoring. This puts pressure on traditional data providers who lack direct registry pipes. The industry’s central challenge remains the fragmentation of global data; whether Kyckr can successfully bridge these gaps into a seamless "risk signal" remains the defining question for the sector's next phase.
