Money20/20 USA has unveiled its 2026 agenda for its flagship Las Vegas event, focusing on the convergence of AI, cross-border infrastructure, and evolving regulation. For fintech professionals, the October gathering serves as a critical barometer for industry sentiment, bringing together legacy banking giants and disruptive startups to navigate a fragmented global financial landscape.

What was announced

The 2026 edition of Money20/20 USA, scheduled for October 18–21 in Las Vegas, will feature seven distinct stages: the Exchange Stage, the Intersection Stage, the Mastertrack & Deep Dive Stage, the Arra.i.val Stage, the MoneyPot Stage, the Partner Stage, the Startup Hub Stage, and the RiseUp & Amplify Stage. This year’s event reports an increase in participation, hosting more sponsors and exhibitors than previous years, including over 180 companies making their debut at the show.

The agenda is structured around four core pillars: Borderless Financial Architecture; Technology as the Great Equalizer; Partnerships as the Engine to Scale; and Brave New World: Setting Guardrails. These themes will explore how cross-border infrastructure and AI are reshaping trust and intelligence in financial systems. A significant addition to "The Intersection" activation area is the World Gold Council, which will showcase its Gold as a Service initiative, a standardized market infrastructure designed to bridge physical gold custody with digital products.

The keynote lineup includes high-profile executives such as William (Bill) Demchak, Chairman & CEO of The PNC Financial Services Group; Racquel Oden, US Head of International Wealth & Global Private Banking at HSBC; Cameron Fowler, CEO of Early Warning; and Leigh Amaro, CEO Americas at SWIFT. Other featured speakers include Andrew Reed of Sequoia Capital, Tarek Mansour of Kalshi, and Mariëtte Swart of Adyen. The Startup Hub Stage will specifically address scaling strategies and the "Build vs Buy" dilemma for regional expansion, while investor-led sessions will focus on funding strategies in an AI-accelerated market.

"Gold is evolving to unlock its full potential in the digital economy. At Money20/20 USA, we are thrilled to bring Gold as a Service to the fintech community. This initiative bridges physical gold with the digital world, increasing access and improving tradability of the world's most resilient asset. We invite partners, platforms, and innovators across financial services to collaborate with us and embed gold into the future of digital finance,"

David Tait, CEO of the World Gold Council.

The companies involved

Money20/20 is a major global fintech platform owned by Informa. It has established itself as a primary venue for deal-making and industry networking. Sequoia Capital, a prominent venture capital firm, continues to be a significant influence in the sector, having been featured in 17 FF News reports. The firm is represented on the agenda by General Partner Andrew Reed.

Adyen, a global payments platform, remains one of the most active players in the market with over 200 mentions in FF News coverage. The company provides end-to-end payment capabilities and data-driven insights for businesses worldwide. Kalshi, represented on the agenda by CEO & Co-founder Tarek Mansour, operates as a regulated prediction market, a niche that has seen growing institutional interest. The World Gold Council is a membership organization that advocates for gold as a strategic asset. Its entry into the fintech space via Gold as a Service signals an attempt to modernize one of the world's oldest asset classes. Other key participants include Fireblocks, a digital asset custody platform led by CEO Michael Shaulov, and Early Warning, the operator of the Zelle Network, led by CEO Cameron Fowler.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has extensively covered the participants and themes featured in the 2026 agenda. Recently, we reported on how DBS and Citi Complete First Weekend USD Cross-Border Payment via Swift Digital Ledger, highlighting the same cross-border infrastructure themes Leigh Amaro will address. In the prediction market space, FF News covered how Oddpool Integrates with Kalshi to Drive Institutional Adoption of Prediction Markets.

Additionally, Adyen’s market movements were recently noted in Adyen Partners with Limitless Technology to Scale E-commerce Gifting Across Asia-Pacific. The broader Money20/20 ecosystem was also featured when Money20/20 Middle East Debuts RiseUp Program to Empower Women in Fintech, a program that continues to be a fixture of the USA event.

What this means

The 2026 agenda reflects a pivot from speculative fintech toward the hardening of market infrastructure. By centering "Borderless Financial Architecture" and "Gold as a Service," the industry is signaling a move to integrate traditional assets and legacy systems with digital-native rails. This puts pressure on mid-tier banks and regional players who must decide between costly internal builds or deep reliance on the partnership models being showcased. The heavy focus on AI-powered infrastructure suggests that the "hype phase" of generative AI is being replaced by a more pragmatic demand for compliance and risk-management tools. The central question for the sector remains whether these new rails can achieve true interoperability without further fragmenting the global regulatory landscape.
