About Tjandra Gunawan

Tjandra Gunawan, Currently, Tjandra is the CEO of PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk. (formerly known as Bank Yudha Bhakti/BYB). With more than 25 years of extensive experience from several well-known banks blended with consulting and auditing skills from a Big Four public Accounting firm, Tjandra has become a seasoned professional in Banking. With great passion, Tjandra is leading the Bank in its transformation phase to be a solid Digital Bank in Indonesia. He joined the bank in March 2020 and led the transformation from a conventional bank with a military pension business to a leading digital bank with over 22 million users of its Neobank apps. Under his leadership, the bank achieved remarkable results in terms of assets, deposits, capital, revenue, and cost efficiency, as well as attracting new prominent investors and shareholders. He also received multiple awards and honors for his outstanding performance, such as: Banker of the Year 2022, Top 100 CEO of 2022, and The Best CEO 2022. He left the bank in June 2023 with a vision to pursue new challenges and opportunities in the digital industries field. Tjandra Gunawan, based in Jakarta, ID, is currently a Independent Consultant at Freelance. Tjandra Gunawan brings experience from previous roles at PT BANK NEO COMMERCE TBK, PT eDaun Inspirasi Dijital (Hemat.id), BNP Paribas and PT. Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk.
