Currently as Head of global engg for a Fintech (Azlo) I am responsible for technology strategy for apps, data engg, data science and devops. Helped grow the business 50% in 8 months. Prior, as CTO for ComputeDB/BigData at TIBCO and at SnappyData (spun out of Pivotal/VMWare and acquired by Tibco) I helped lead the technical strategy, leveraging Spark, cloud compute/storage/containers and a hybrid in-memory DB as a foundational layer for federated data access, ML/DL scalable data science runtime, streaming, visualization supporting complex workloads. Very proud of the achievement and our great supportive team. Previously, I served on the extended leadership team at Pivotal and VMWare as the Chief Architect for “Big and fast data” products. At Pivotal and VMWare, I led the technology direction for GemFire(Apache Geode) and led multiple engineering teams. I helped lead the company strategy for data services, and am quite passionate about helping customers be successful. Eons ago, I helped build the first generation of J2EE application servers and participated in several standards in the Java space while at BEA(now Oracle) and GemStone Systems. I spent more than 3 decades in this industry, hold 6 patents, a bachelors degree in computer science, earned 40% of credits for a Masters in Comp. Science and a masters degree in management of science and technology.
