About Ivo Gueorguiev

Ivo Gueorguiev is a co-founder of  Paynetics. He is a seasoned investor and banker who co-founded а pioneering retail banking group in Central and Eastern Europe. Before that, he helped establish a new financial era in post-Cold War Central & Eastern Europe.  A business builder rooted in financial services. Currently on a mission to redefine payments, including enabling 35 million financially underserved (micro) merchants across the EU to accept card payments on their phones through the first ever purely software POS solution. Built from scratch a group focused on retail banking in CEE. Previously a senior banker at the EBRD. Has built and exited more than 20 businesses. Mr. Gueorguiev's current jobs include Independent Non-Executive Director at Banca Transilvania SA since 2014 and Director at CrediBul Ltd. since 2013. Mr. Gueorguiev's former jobs include Chief Executive Officer at Hermis Finansai IVKI UAB from 1998 to 1999, Chairman at TBI Bulgaria ad from 2004 to 2007, and Chairman-Management Board & Managing Director at TBI Financial Services BV from 2001 to 2011. Mr. Ivo Gueorguiev's education includes an MBA from the University of Alberta in 1993 and a graduate degree from the University of National & World Economy in 1990.
