PayPoint and Nationwide Boost Cash Access with 3,000 Additional Deposit Points Available to Customers
Nationwide Building Society (Nationwide) and PayPoint today announce they have made it even easier for customers to manage their money, with the launch of a new deposit service.
In partnership with PayPoint, Nationwide customers can now pay cash into their Nationwide account at over 3,000 participating PayPoint BankLocal locations, many of which are open for long hours, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays and Christmas Day.
Customers can deposit up to £300 a day, with money appearing in their account within minutes, offering greater flexibility for those who rely on cash as part of their everyday banking. Customers can find their nearest PayPoint location via the Nationwide website or app. They can also enter their post code to find their nearest location on the PayPoint website.
How do PayPoint locations work?
With a comprehensive network of stores, 99.5% of people live within a mile of a PayPoint store, providing a convenient location to undertake everyday errands. From returning or collecting parcels to paying bills, buying gift cards or topping up a mobile phone, PayPoint makes it easy to get things done in one stop at the heart of communities across the UK.
Conveniently located in local retail stores, customers can now pay in cash while running daily errands whilst shopping for essentials or picking up/dropping off a parcel. The BankLocal service also offers benefits to retailers by boosting footfall into stores and providing the opportunity to earn additional revenue through commissions.
Stephen Noakes, Director of Retail at Nationwide said: “We’re pleased to partner with PayPoint to give our customers even more choice in how they manage their money. This service is a valuable addition to our branches. Our leading commitment to the high street and to keeping branches open until at least 2030 remains unchanged, and this partnership helps us serve customers and communities in new and convenient ways.”
Jo Toolan, MD Network Services, PayPoint said: “Our retailer partners provide a vast range of essential services, serving as key community hubs for everything from grocery, utility, parcel, cash and voucher redemption services. Enabling Nationwide customers to now make cash deposits into their accounts at more than 3,000 PayPoint convenience stores represents the future of front-line banking access in the UK and gives communities across the UK greater access to cash services. Our partnership with Nationwide and expansion of service offering to its customers further demonstrates how PayPoint works to bring essential services of all kinds direct into the hearts of local communities, including those that might otherwise struggle to have their day-to-day needs met.”
