intive Acquires Ammeon to Enhance Domain-Specific Expertise in Telecom and Strengthen Northern European Business
intive announced today that it has acquired Ammeon, a digital transformation and solutions partner for some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies, extending its foothold in Northern Europe. The acquisition boosts intive’s regional presence in UK & Ireland and further strengthens its domain expertise and value offering for customers in Telecommunications, FinTech and Mobility. Their combined reach is expected to accelerate growth across existing geographies, enhancing both scale and breadth of design and engineering competencies with a complementary solution portfolio to generate additional business impact for customers of both organizations.
intive’s latest acquisition is in line with the ambitious company growth strategy announced in 2020 and follows the achievement of the strongest quarter in the company’s history. Bringing Ammeon into the intive Group deepens intive’s design-led digital engineering domain expertise in Telecom, FinTech and Mobility, with deep telecom network knowledge including 5G & virtualization and enriches its solution portfolio, adding additional strong DevOps, Cloud and automation competencies.
“Last year has driven up demand for human-centered design and effective digital solutions and intive is experiencing unprecedented growth. We sought to find a trusted digital transformation partner with matching culture & values, who would complement our existing tech expertise and further strengthen our growth and offering in Technology, Media and Communications which is the largest and fastest-growing part of intive,” – said Gurdeep Grewal, Chief Executive Officer of intive. “Building on Ammeon’s people-centric culture, their design mindset and Northern European presence, we can boost and diversify our delivery, and strengthen our team with forward-thinking and like-minded technology experts.”
intive has acquired 100 percent of the stakes in Ammeon, which will continue to operate as a separate business unit in line with the Group structure and is now being rebranded to ‘Ammeon – an intive business’. The wholly Irish-owned IT company with revenue of €20m and comprising more than 200 digital natives was founded in Dublin, Ireland in 2003. Ammeon currently operates out of the UK, Ireland and Romania, with intive set to leverage Romania as an additional nearshore location for the entire intive group, to increase access to talent and further fuel growth of the newly combined companies.
“The need for successful digital transformation is at an all-time high and at Ammeon, we accelerate this shift with agility and a focused vision for a digital future. In intive, we’ve found the same mindset and values that have been guiding us throughout our almost two-decade company history,” – said Joe Cunningham, the original founder of Ammeon. “Joining the intive Group marks a new milestone in our journey. I’m confident that our complementary company culture and combined domain expertise will bring tangible value to our long-standing relationships with customers and new growth opportunities for our people. Together, we’re able to reach higher and grow better, not just bigger.”
