Matt is chief finance officer at Openreach, a position he has held since 2017. He’s a chartered management accountant and before joining Openreach was the chief financial officer for BT Consumer.
He started his career working at ITV where he trained as an accountant, before joining the finance team at Unilever.
Commenting on his appointment, Jill Mackenzie, Chair, BTPS said: “I’m delighted to welcome Matt to the BTPS Trustee Board. His extensive financial leadership experience and deep understanding of the BT Group will be invaluable as we continue to deliver on our commitment to the Scheme’s members. I would also like to thank Emily Clark for her dedicated service. Her insights and counsel have been greatly appreciated.”
