Target Adds New Split Screen Interface to Mortgage Hub to Drive Efficiencies for Colleague Users

Mortgage Hub, the state-of-the-art originations platform from Target Group, has been upgraded with a new and unique split screen interface for lenders, helping to deliver powerful new efficiencies and speed up the wider mortgage process.

The new Colleague UI interface enables mandated users and team members to have all the necessary information about a case visible on one screen. It combines applicant details, case details and property information on one side, with a dedicated workspace on the other to take actions or make decisions.

Rather than relying on multiple tabs and screens, or printing off any documents for review, underwriters and case managers are now able to confirm any details, draft case notes and complete their tasks, while reviewing all the necessary documents and information on the very same screen.

The result is a far more seamless experience for underwriters, helping to deliver decisions much faster and speed up the entire mortgage application process. With a single view dashboard, lenders are also able to mitigate the risk of missed or incorrect information, improve consistency and standards, all while reducing cognitive load for users such as underwriters, case managers and wider members of the team.

The new upgrade is the latest addition to the award-winning platform, which has been designed to be user-centric and to help drive efficiencies in the originations process. Alongside ongoing consultation with all parties involved, Mortgage Hub uses behavioural science to answer the frustrations faced throughout the mortgage process.

Melanie Spencer, sales and growth lead at Target, said: “This important upgrade to Mortgage Hub highlights the clear need to improve the colleague experience in the mortgage market. While the broker experience has long been a priority, we must also consider colleagues such as underwriters and case managers, given the important role they play in the mortgage process and in mitigating risk and meeting service level requirements.

“Rather than multiple screens, printing information or downloading content from their system, colleagues now have this information at their fingertips on one screen as they complete their tasks. Speaking with lenders across the country, this is a key development that these businesses want and urgently need. It’s great to be able to deliver this unique Colleague UI as part of our state-of-the-art Mortgage Hub platform, which uses innovations such as this to transform the entire mortgage process for all parties.”

Alongside a full pipeline of future developments to the platform, Mortgage Hub brings together key integrations from leading providers across financial services. Being a cloud-based and modular platform, users have access to a full range of tools, assets and data sources to inform their decision making and support the customer journey. Businesses can adopt Mortgage Hub to address specific pain points, or the entire platform for an end-to-end experience – even swapping in their own preferred APIs if necessary.
