Crux Analytics and Bankwell Launch Partnership to Enhance Small Business Banking

Bankwell and Crux Analytics have announced a strategic partnership that will integrate Crux’s small business intelligence platform into Bankwell’s business banking services, enhancing how the Connecticut-based bank interacts with clients.

The initiative aims to create a new standard for data-driven banking relationships, enabling Bankwell’s team to provide unprecedented personalization and proactive service to business clients across its markets. The bank will deploy Crux’s automated platform to deliver enhanced lead targeting and prioritization, and active relationship monitoring to identify opportunities for businesses at precisely the right moment in their growth cycle.

“In today’s competitive landscape, businesses need a financial partner who understands their specific challenges and opportunities,” said chief innovation officer, Ryan Hildebrand.  “Crux’s technology augments our bankers’ expertise with powerful automation and business-specific intelligence, allowing them to spend more time delivering value to clients.”

This partnership directly addresses what small business customers want from their banks. According to recent research from American Banker, 80% of small businesses trust their bank, yet there’s a significant disconnect between the services banks provide and what businesses need. The research shows that while one in four small businesses feels cash-constrained, they are highly receptive to banking services that closely align with their financial operations—with more than 80% expressing interest in additional services. By leveraging Crux’s intelligence platform, Bankwell will be uniquely positioned to identify these opportunities and deliver the personalized financial solutions that business clients are actively seeking.

Through the adoption of Crux’s platform, business clients will benefit from more relevant product recommendations and banking relationships that better anticipate their needs. The partnership comes as Bankwell continues to invest in supporting small businesses by expanding its specialized business banking offerings.

“Bankwell’s commitment to digital solutions that support personalized service makes them an ideal partner,” explained Jacob Bennett, Co-Founder of Crux Analytics. “Our platform enhances the human element of banking by giving bankers tools to be a more effective partner to their business clients while helping to drive institutional growth.”
