Bitget Wallet Launches Neobanking Features with Auto-Converting USD and EUR Accounts
By Lauren Towner · 29 October 2026

Bitget Wallet is integrating traditional banking rails directly into its self-custodial platform, allowing users to receive USD and EUR transfers that automatically convert to stablecoins. This move bridges the gap between legacy finance and decentralized storage, offering freelancers and cross-border workers a way to bypass centralized exchanges when moving fiat into the crypto ecosystem.
What was announced
The new service, set to launch on October 27, is powered by a partnership with payments infrastructure provider Noah. It provides Bitget Wallet’s 100 million users with virtual accounts capable of receiving funds via ACH, Fedwire, SEPA, and SWIFT. Crucially, these accounts do not require the user to hold a traditional bank account in the United States or Europe, addressing a longstanding barrier for freelancers and cross-border workers in emerging markets.
When funds are deposited into these virtual accounts, the system automatically converts the fiat currency into USDT or USDC. These stablecoins are then deposited directly into the user’s self-custodial wallet. By automating this conversion, the platform removes the traditional requirement of routing funds through a centralized exchange (CEX) to acquire digital assets. This integration positions the self-custodial wallet as a direct competitor to neobanks and specialized cross-border payment providers, as stablecoins increasingly become an alternative infrastructure for moving money internationally. The service aims to streamline the "on-ramp" process, ensuring that funds remain under the user's direct control from the moment they enter the crypto environment.
The companies involved
Bitget Wallet is one of the industry's largest self-custodial crypto wallets, serving a global user base of over 100 million. The platform has focused on expanding its role beyond simple storage, recently engaging with regulatory bodies like Japan’s Blockchain Collaborative Council (BCCC) to help shape the future of self-custody rules.
Noah acts as the infrastructure layer for this integration, specializing in enterprise-grade stablecoin solutions. The company has rapidly scaled its operations, recently securing $38 million in seed funding to accelerate the adoption of stablecoin-based financial services. Noah has also focused on regulatory compliance within major markets, obtaining both MiCA and Payment Institution (PI) licenses to operate across the European Union. This regulatory foundation allows the firm to provide the necessary banking rails for crypto-native platforms to offer fiat-linked services. Noah’s technology is increasingly being utilized by established financial giants looking to modernize their remittance networks, highlighting its role as a bridge between traditional payment systems and blockchain-based settlement.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely tracked Noah’s expansion into the global payments space. We recently reported that Western Union Taps Noah to Launch Global Stablecoin Remittance Network, a significant validation of Noah's infrastructure by a legacy incumbent. This followed news that Noah Secures MiCA and PI Licences to Expand Stablecoin Infrastructure Across the EU, providing the legal framework for its current expansion. Earlier in October, the company made headlines when Noah Secures $38m Seed Round to Accelerate Enterprise Stablecoin Adoption. Meanwhile, we covered Bitget Wallet’s regulatory efforts as Bitget Wallet Joins Japan’s BCCC to Shape Self-Custodial Crypto Regulation, signaling the platform's move toward institutional and regulatory maturity.
What this means
This announcement signals a shift in the competitive landscape for both neobanks and centralized exchanges. By embedding banking rails directly into a self-custodial environment, Bitget Wallet is effectively cutting out the "middleman" CEX, which has traditionally been the primary gatekeeper for fiat-to-crypto transitions. For the broader fintech sector, this move highlights the maturing role of stablecoins as a legitimate alternative to SWIFT for cross-border settlements. It puts immediate pressure on traditional remittance providers to justify their fees and processing times. The industry must now consider whether the "wallet" is evolving to become the primary bank account for the global gig economy.
