Global Fintech Leaders Honored: Money20/20 Announces 2026 Money Awards Winners
By Lauren Towner · 20 October 2026

Money20/20 USA has revealed the winners of the 2026 Money Awards in Las Vegas, highlighting the firms driving global financial innovation. For fintech professionals, these awards serve as a barometer for the technologies and partnerships currently gaining traction across banking, payments, and insurtech, signaling where market leadership is shifting in a fragmented global landscape.
What was announced
Money20/20 USA has named the winners of the 2026 Money Awards, a global program recognizing excellence in fintech, banking, and payments. Revealed on October 18 in Las Vegas, the awards highlighted this year's most impactful organizations across six primary categories. The winners were selected from a global field, representing work from eight countries including Bangladesh, Colombia, Cyprus, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the USA.
In the Diamond category, insurtech firm bolttech took the Grand Prix, while Yellow Card received the Gold Money Award. bKash Limited and Open Rewards Inc secured Silver and Bronze respectively. The Banking category saw Omnisient take the Grand Prix for its use of alternative data in financial inclusion, followed by True Link (Gold) and DriveWealth (Silver). JazzCash, a VEON Group fintech, also secured a Silver Money Award in the banking segment.
The Payments category recognized Privy, a Stripe company, with the Grand Prix for its work in simplifying global infrastructure. Other winners in this segment included bKash Limited (Gold) and Cobre (Silver). In the startup categories, Charm Security won the Early Stage Grand Prix, while Trace Finance took the Growth Stage Grand Prix for its cross-border payment orchestration. Strategic alliances were also honored, with the partnership between Sooho.io and The Bank of Korea receiving the Grand Prix for its collaborative innovation.
"What distinguished Bolttech and Yellow Card, the Diamond jury's Grand Prix and Gold winners, was their ability to pair global scale with inclusion. Bolttech is pushing innovation at scale in insurtech, including accessible protection products, in a sector that has not kept pace with payments and other financial services. Yellow Card is building the digital infrastructure across the Global South that can help turn the promise of stablecoins into genuinely broader financial access."

What this means
The 2026 awards signal a definitive shift in the fintech hierarchy, where "orchestration" is replacing "disruption" as the primary value proposition. The success of firms like Trace Finance and Privy suggests that the industry's biggest challenge is no longer a lack of digital rails, but the fragmentation between them. For legacy institutions, the pressure is mounting to integrate non-traditional data sources, as highlighted by Omnisient’s win. The industry is moving toward a model where the most valuable players are those who can simplify complexity across borders and sectors, rather than those simply offering a faster version of a single service.
