Press Release: Integra Secures Four Major Public Sector Wins as NHS and Local Councils Exit eFinancials | Featured Image by FF News

British finance technology provider Integra has secured four competitive wins across local government and the NHS, displacing incumbent OneAdvanced eFinancials systems. For fintech professionals, this migration highlights a shifting preference in the public sector toward specialist financial management platforms that offer integrated data migration and long-term archival support for statutory reporting.

What was announced

Integra will replace existing OneAdvanced eFinancials systems at four public sector organisations, including Epping Forest District Council and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. Two additional organisations—a second local authority and a second NHS trust—have also signed contracts but their names have not yet been disclosed. These wins expand Integra’s user base to more than 150 public sector organisations across the UK and Ireland.

For the local authority clients, Integra is managing the full implementation process, which includes the extraction and migration of existing financial data. A central component of the agreement is the creation of a seven-year archive of historic information. This ensures that finance teams maintain seamless access to records required for audit, Freedom of Information requests, and statutory reporting, while significantly reducing the technical migration workload for the councils' internal teams.

The NHS wins are linked to a shared-service programme established in 2025. Initially created to support NHS trusts in the North of England, this programme is now expanding its geographic reach and intends to offer its financial management services to local government. By consolidating organisations on a common platform, the initiative aims to standardise processes and reduce duplication through automation and business intelligence. These four contracts are part of a broader growth period for Integra, which has secured nine new customer wins over the past 12 months, including the Independent Football Regulator, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

"We wanted a finance system that could meet the needs of the council, supported by a team with a good understanding of the public sector and the practicalities involved in moving from one system to another. Integra’s experience, together with its approach to managing the migration of our existing financial data, gave us confidence in our decision and we look forward to working with the team."

The companies involved

Integra is a specialist provider of finance technology that has operated within the public sector for 50 years. The company focuses on delivering financial management systems tailored to the specific regulatory and operational requirements of government bodies, healthcare providers, and emergency services. With a client base exceeding 150 organisations across the UK and Ireland, Integra has established itself as a significant alternative to broader enterprise resource planning (ERP) providers by focusing on the nuances of public sector accounting and reporting.

The company’s recent market activity demonstrates an expansion into diverse regulatory and emergency service environments, moving beyond traditional council and hospital settings. This market position is bolstered by its specific focus on handling complex data migrations from legacy systems, such as those provided by OneAdvanced. By positioning itself as a partner that manages the technical burden of data extraction and archiving, Integra competes with larger software conglomerates by offering a more hands-on, sector-specific implementation model than is typical for generalist ERP vendors.

What this means

This series of wins suggests a growing impatience within the public sector for generic financial software. By specifically targeting OneAdvanced’s eFinancials user base, Integra is exploiting a critical pain point: the complexity and risk of legacy data migration. The decision by these organisations to move toward shared-service models indicates a broader industry shift toward consolidation and process standardisation to combat intensifying budgetary pressures. For the wider fintech market, this highlights that the "product" is no longer just the software interface, but the vendor's willingness to absorb the labor of data transition. The expansion of NHS shared services into local government further threatens incumbents who fail to offer interoperable, multi-tenant solutions.
