Ron van Kemenade is a senior technology executive with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and telecommunications.
Currently serving as Group Chief Operating Officer at Lloyds Banking Group, a core part of his role is to harness technology and data to unlock the bank’s long-term growth strategy. Ron van Kemenade is passionate about tech transformation and how data and technology can be used to better support Lloyds’ 26 million UK customers, ultimately delivering on the bank’s purpose of helping Britain prosper.
Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Ron van Kemenade spent 20 years at ING, where he was the bank’s first Chief Technology Officer and served on the Board. His team played a key role in transforming ING into a truly data-driven, digital bank. He successfully transformed the bank’s technology organization into a true engineering powerhouse, introducing an agile way of working, a (Biz)DevOps organization, and continuous delivery automation. Throughout his career, he has focused on finding, developing, and retaining highly skilled individuals who bring value to customers, colleagues, and communities. Together with the team at ING, they created a globally scalable digital platform designed for speed, scale, and security.
