Proven ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership, consistently setting direction and leading the execution of innovative, customer-centric programs. Most recently, providing strategic leadership while overseeing finance, business operations, and governance, with a focus on strengthening democratic institutions and enhancing government effectiveness. Leading implementation of bold ideas and long-term transformational initiatives aimed at driving sustainable change. Growing up as the daughter of a small business owner in South East England, Leigh O'Neill witnessed firsthand the importance of the relationships her father built with his customers and the significant investment he made in these relationships over time. These fundamental values have shaped her desire to truly understand customers and find ways to exceed their expectations. This motivation has driven her throughout her career, and she is passionate about helping customers succeed and meet their goals. She considers it a privilege to play a role in the lives of customers and remains focused on delivering the services and support they need. Leigh O'Neill believes that business goes beyond just business. A strong advocate for corporate responsibility, she is also deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and society, with a special focus on financially empowering women. Leigh O'Neill is an experienced board member holding positions across several purpose-driven arts and cultural organisations, alongside professional governance responsibilities in Wealth Management. Leigh is the Executive General Manager for Global Financial Services at Xero. She is responsible for expanding partnerships with banks and other financial service providers globally and helping create seamless workflows inside Xero’s product.  Prior to Xero, Leigh spent 11 years in senior roles at National Australia Bank.
