About Jayadeep Nair

Starting my career in India when the economy was just being unshackled from state ownership, I saw the difference that entrepreneurial forces were making. From an uncertain stream, it grew into a massive torrent of inspiration that transformed the marketplace and changed the face of society. Since then, I’ve had the privilege to live in some of the most glorious cities in the world – London, New York, HongKong, chasing even more inspiration. Diverse global roles with Citigroup and American Express followed – setting up the first Private Banking business in India & a new business unit in HKG (Citigroup), running revenue management in Asia, managing credit card portfolios in a start-up business unit in New York, leading the Charge Cards and Membership Rewards programme in the UK and leading product management for global business partnerships in Europe & Middle East (American Express). With a ringside view of payments & fintech, I was staggered by the innovation and opportunity, particularly in the UK. At WorldPay, in a PE driven entrepreneurial environment, I was part of that opportunity and drove new propositions and payment products for the SME segment. At Barclaycard’s bPay start-up, we changed how consumers and businesses engage with contactless payments by developing innovative partnerships with non traditional players to drive frictionless payments. The quest for innovation continues as I engage with a range of businesses in the innovation/payments/financial services space
