About Darren Abrahamson

Darren Abrahamson joined Bain Capital in 2005. He is a Partner on the Tech Opportunities team and leads investments in the application software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, financial technology, and healthcare IT sectors. Prior to his current role, Darren was a leader of the Technology vertical as a member of our North America Private Equity team. He has played a leading role in the firm’s recruiting and training efforts and has worked in our Boston and London offices. Darren received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Darren is a Member of the firm’s global TMT practice and has been involved in the firm’s investments in Viewpoint Construction Software, BMC Software, SkillSoft, Applied Systems, SunGard and Sensata Technologies, among others. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Darren was a Consultant at Monitor Group where he consulted in the technology, pharmaceutical, and energy industries. Darren Abrahamson currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Viewpoint since May 2014, Sungard Availability Services since April 2014 and Blue Coat Systems since May 2015.
