About Andy Davies

Andy Davies has over 20 years of experience developing payment solutions for gateways, banks, and fintech merchants. His expertise spans working with Public Sector, Finance, and Gaming verticals, bringing to market comprehensive platforms supporting POS, eCommerce, Mobile, and phone payments within a single solution. Throughout his career, he has collaborated closely with clients across multiple areas, from commercial contracts and solution design to compliance. He has guided clients through obtaining FCA EMA status and successfully managed PCI DSS compliance programs. Known for his problem-solving approach, he enjoys leveraging his cross-market knowledge to address complex payment challenges. His work with fintechs and banks has expanded his expertise into FCA compliance, including navigating KYC and AML challenges. His engagement with an international client base has also involved working alongside over 100 alternative payment methods used worldwide. Andy Davies is an International Student Support Advisor, and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. Andy Davies strives to promote the inclusion of those members of the community who identify within the ‘Q+’. Andy Davies himself identifies as a Queer Demisexual Male, uses he/him pronouns and has spent his career working in the construction and facilities management industry in higher education before moving into a role within The Student Hub at BNU. Andy Davies has also lived with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and hypermobility syndrome since the age of 16 and is an advocate of those living with chronic illness.
