Plynk® Introduces Simulated Trading and Steady Start to Inspire New Investors

Plynk®, the app designed to simplify the investing process and empower users to grow their financial confidence, is now making its investing experience even more approachable with the introduction of Simulated Trading and Steady Start. These new features provide a first of its kind path for new investors to learn, practice, and develop solid investing habits. Brokerage accounts and related information and services are provided by Digital Brokerage Services LLC (DBS), member of FINRA and SIPC, 499 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07310.

“We know that getting started in investing can be intimidating, which is why our mission has always been to make it easy. With Simulated Trading we’re giving people a way to ‘try before you buy’ and with Steady Start we’re offering a simple, gradual way to build a habit,” said Jared Hubbard, Product Manager, the Plynk app. “Making an impact on your financial future is not always about drastic changes. These features are all about helping investors feel confident from day one and build positive, consistent habits.”

Simulated Trading is a virtual trading experience that mimics the real stock market. It allows users to practice buying and selling with $100,000 available in virtual funds. The portfolio performance mirrors real market conditions, giving users a space to build confidence, test strategies, and develop decision-making skills before committing their own money.

With Steady Start, users can choose a stock or ETF and set up automatic deposits that begin with just $1. Each week, the deposit amount increases by $1 for 52 weeks. By the end of the program, users will have invested close to $1,400. This gradual approach allows investors to build a recurring investment habit, while allowing them to change or cancel at any point.
