Handepay Turbocharges eCommerce Platform for UK SMEs

Handepay has today announced it has turbocharged its eCommerce platform for customers, enabling merchants to start selling online in as little as 24 hours from sign up.

The launch of the enhanced service comes as Handepay strengthens its partnership with Global Payments, supporting SMEs to reach beyond their local high street.

Handepay customers can now access a complete payment solution for both in-store and online payments, with transparent pricing, offering customers recurring payments, payment links with QR code generation and quick checkout using tokenisation for a one-stop-shop of payment solutions. Merchants can also start accepting payments within as little as 24-hours from signing up, with a comprehensive suite of integration options, including hosted payment pages for quick setup, APIs and pre-built shopping cart integrations.

Mark Latham, Managing Director at Handepay commented: “There has been a significant shift to digital and how consumers spend.  Being online is crucial for our customers’ growth and to be competitive in-market.

“Whether a business owner is starting online for the first time, or looking to switch to a new provider, we’re delighted to be able to offer a vastly enhanced solution with Global Payments and give our customers the tools they need to help them grow.”

Konrad Kelling, President & Managing Director, UK&I at Global Payments added:

“The UK has one of the most established eCommerce markets in Europe, with an eCommerce penetration of around 85%, compared to the European average of 50%.* This rapid growth is expected to continue, positioning the UK as a key driver of eCommerce expansion well beyond 2025.

We’re excited to enhance our partnership with Handepeay by leveraging Global Payment’s expertise in SMB and eCommerce alongside Handepay’s distribution capabilities and product offerings. Together, we aim to empower small businesses to launch or expand their online presence, helping them thrive in the digital marketplace.”
