Geoswift, Alipay and Western Union Business Solutions Announce Reduced FX Rates for Chinese Students Studying Abroad
Today Geoswift has partnered with Alipay and Western Union Business Solutions to announce reduced rates to Chinese students when they pay International fees with Alipay through WU® GlobalPay for Students.
The COVID-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges during 2020, and International students have been significantly affected. Most students have had to adapt to taking online classes, many are separated from family due to global travel restrictions, while also needing to focus on their personal well-being. These challenges have placed a significant burden on students and their families. Geoswift, Alipay and Western Union Business Solutions hope to ease some of this anxiety by providing a stress-free, affordable, payments service.
“As a cross-border payment facilitator in the realm of international education, Geoswift has been providing services to Chinese students abroad since 2010. We deeply understand the challenges faced by students during such a stressful period,” said Jessica Ao, president of Geoswift. “Being able to help create ease for these young people through an easy-to-use and inexpensive tuition service is the mutual goal of Geoswift and our longstanding partners.
GlobalPay for Students allows education institutions to provide a quick and easy way for their international students to pay their fees. Students from China can pay in RMB using payment options they know from home such as Alipay.
The reduced rate is available starting 15th Dec 2020 and runs through to 14th Feb, 2021. It is applicable to all universities or educational institutions in North America, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia provided that Alipay is being used as the method of payment.
