Félix Collaborates With Mastercard to Accelerate U.S.–to–Latin America Remittances
Félix, a cross-border remittance platform, announced today an expansion of its collaboration with Mastercard to modernize cross-border remittance flows between the United States and Latin America. Félix will leverage Mastercard Move to deliver faster, more transparent, and secure payment experiences for individuals and families.
By integrating Mastercard’s global payment infrastructure with Félix’s technology platform, the collaboration will streamline the remittance process, reduce friction, and enhance trust across borders. Senders simply message Félix’s AI-powered chatbot on WhatsApp—either by text or voice note—to initiate a transfer powered by Mastercard Move.
The initiative reflects both companies’ commitment to financial inclusion and innovation, particularly in regions where access to reliable financial services remains critical. Over 500,000 users across El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic are using the Félix platform to date,
“Families should not have to wait days after payday to see support arrive,” said Claudia Garavini, VP . “With the integration of Mastercard Move, users are able to fund a transfer with a debit card and know their family will receive the money quickly, often in minutes. That reduces friction and builds trust at the moment that matters most.”
“We’re proud to partner with Félix to bring a new level of simplicity and security to cross-border payments,” said Stefany Bello, Senior Vice President, Digital Partnerships, Fintech and Enablers, North America, at Mastercard. “By combining the reach of the Félix platform on WhatsApp with the power of Mastercard Move, we’re making it easier for families to send money home quickly, safely, and with full transparency.”
