Expensify expands its Travel platform with central billing, event management, and enhanced employee itineraries, with CEO David Barrett highlighting automation to cut corporate travel costs by up to 30%.

Expensify Travel Adds Central Billing, Event Management, and More

Expensify, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXFY), a payments superapp that helps 15 million individuals and businesses around the world simplify the way they manage money across expenses, corporate cards, and travel, today announced a suite of powerful updates to Expensify Travel. The platform now supports central billing, event management, and enhanced employee itineraries, designed specifically to simplify corporate travel planning and reduce T&E costs.

“Business travel has always been one of the most manual, frustrating parts of work,” said David Barrett, founder and CEO of Expensify. “We’re tackling that head-on by building travel into our superapp in a way that puts flexibility and control back in the hands of employees and finance teams.”

The latest Expensify Travel updates include:

Central billing

  • Pay for all travel on a central company card, or configure cards per team
  • Choose what’s paid by card: flights, hotels, cars, and/or rail
  • Automate expense categorization and reconciliation
  • Maintain strict control to reduce fraud risk
  • Gain real-time visibility into bookings and expenses
  • Minimize missing receipts and manual follow-ups

Event management

  • Share custom travel booking links for offsites, conferences, and more
  • Track RSVPs right from the Expensify Travel dashboard
  • Automate attendee booking within your travel policy
  • Set and update rules for individuals or entire groups
  • Use templates for recurring events like candidate visits
  • Centrally track and bill group travel expenses

Employee itineraries

  • Automatically group bookings by trip in the Expensify app
  • Enable admins to book on behalf of others, with automated expense routing
  • Display flight, hotel, rail, and rental car details in one easy view

Expensify Travel aims to reduce T&E costs by up to 30% by automating the most painful aspects of business travel for employees, admins, and finance teams alike.
