TurboTenant Boosts Renters Insurance Adoption by 30% in One Week with Sure’s API

Sure, the insurance technology leader unlocking the potential of digital insurance, announced today the expansion of its partnership with TurboTenant, an all-in-one online property management solution. The goal is to drive greater adoption of renters insurance, leveraging Sure’s technology, speed to market, experience, and technical support.

TurboTenant chose to expand its collaboration with Sure due to the company’s unmatched technology and seamless support. By utilizing Sure’s technology, TurboTenant aims to help more tenants secure the protection they need while empowering landlords to manage the entire rental process through a unified solution.

Initially, TurboTenant utilized Sure’s iFrame technology for its dynamic interface to offer access to renters insurance. However, as TurboTenant’s community of renters preferred a mobile platform, the partnership evolved to deploy Sure’s API integration for a mobile-first customer experience.

Seamus Nally, CEO of TurboTenant, stated, “Over 90% of our renters are on mobile, so while the iFrame was a great way to start with renters insurance, we needed a different long-term solution. Our partnership with Sure was the linchpin to help make it happen.”

The development to release the API integration took only two months, with TurboTenant’s developer team working in collaboration with Sure’s expert technologists. The results were impressive, with a nearly 30% increase in the adoption of binded renters insurance policies within one week after implementation.

Raj Karyampudi, Principal Product Manager at TurboTenant, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “Before with iFrame, if renters wanted to get insurance, it wasn’t realistic for us to expect that would work smoothly when most of our renters were using mobile, and we couldn’t support that well. We feel more comfortable now that we can better support renters through our partnership with Sure.”
