Tokio Marine Highland Doubles Primary Flood Limits to Meet Rising Demand for High-Value Home Coverage

Tokio Marine Highland, an established specialty insurance underwriting agency, announced it has significantly expanded limits available through TMH2O, making it easier for agents and brokers to secure flood protection for higher-value homes.

Primary residential flood building limits have doubled from $1 million to up to $2 million, while contents limits have increased to up to $1.3 million, giving agents and brokers greater flexibility to insure higher-valued residential properties without sacrificing speed.

The expanded limits come as agents increasingly turn to private flood insurance solutions, including those that offer higher limits, in response to rising reconstruction costs and expanding residential flood exposure. Through TMH2O, agents can quote, bind, and issue coverage in real time, helping close coverage gaps that can arise in traditional flood programs.

Alongside these higher limits, TMH has expanded several key coverage features within its primary residential flood product, including:

  • Other structures coverage up to 10% of the flood building limit or $50,000 (whichever is less)
  • Pool repair and refill coverage up to $500
  • Loss assessment coverage of an additional $1,000 for deductible assessments

“Expanding our primary residential flood insurance limits is a direct response to the needs expressed by agents,” said Lauren Savage, President, TMH Private Flood Division. “TMH2O continues to provide the speed, simplicity, and confidence agents rely on, now with even greater capacity and broader flood protection.”

Primary residential flood policies through TMH2O are available for single- and multi-family homes, other structures, condo units, and contents-only renters in 42 states.

Coverage is offered with no waiting period, no co-insurance penalty, and up to $50,000 in additional living expenses, with multiple deductible options. Appointed agents and brokers will continue to benefit from 24/7, real-time access to coverage solutions backed by more than 30 years of private flood expertise.
