Markus Villig and Niclas Neglén Appointed to Klarna Group PLC Board of Directors
Klarna, the AI-powered payments and commerce network, confirms Niclas Neglen and Markus Villig have joined the board of directors for Klarna Group PLC.
Markus is the founder and CEO at Bolt, the global mobility platform. Since its 2013 inception, Bolt has grown to serve over 200 million customers and €2 billion of revenue. Markus is also the youngest founder of a billion-dollar company in Europe.

Niclas Neglén has been Klarna’s Chief Financial Officer since March 2021, leading the company’s finance organisation. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, he previously held senior positions at HSBC Private Bank, including Chief Operating Officer and CFO for EMEA. Before that, he served as CFO of GE Capital UK.
Niclas and Markus were appointed by the board of directors of Klarna Group PLC at a board meeting held on 26 February 2025.
