Joseph Perry Joins Cardstream® as Director of Sales

A leading fintech business has appointed a new Director of Sales.

Joseph Perry has joined Cardstream® Group, to head up its commercial strategy, with the ambition of helping take Cardstream to the ‘next level’ and build on what has been a very successful period for the business.

Joseph, who is 35, has worked in the payments sector for ten years – taking up senior sales, commercial and customer focused roles at Judopay and Global Payments Inc. In May 2023, Judopay was acquired by open finance specialist Fabrick, with Joseph’s work a key factor in the deal.

Following the acquisition, Joseph decided he wanted a new challenge, and he serendipitously met with Dan Starr, who is Head of Acquiring Services at Cardstream. Dan delivered a presentation to Joseph, when he was working at Judopay.

It was at this point that he began to follow Cardstream’s plans more carefully and eventually he met with its CEO Adam Sharpe.

Joseph comments: “From my very first conversations with Dan and Adam, I was genuinely impressed. The technology they showcased tackled many of the challenges I’d seen in the industry — but in a way that felt truly differentiated. Cardstream has a strong name in the market, with a well-earned reputation for innovation and true collaboration with partners. Hearing about their ambitious growth plans and the opportunity to contribute to that journey made the decision to join a very exciting one.”

Regarding his plans at Cardsteam, Joseph adds: “There’s a huge opportunity to bring real innovation to the ISV, SaaS, and banking markets — not just by addressing pain points, but by unlocking new revenue streams and rethinking how payments can power growth. With the right combination of technology, experience, and ambition, Cardstream is uniquely positioned to lead that change. I’m excited to shape our go-to-market strategy and work closely with Adam, Dan, and the team to bring that vision to life.”

Joseph says he is motivated by the opportunity to deliver real innovation into the market and help fix real world problems.

Adam Sharpe, CEO at Cardstream, comments: “Bringing Joseph on board is another statement of our intent to lead in the payments sector and deliver on our plan to simplify the way businesses handle financial transactions on a global scale and transform the complexities of financial operations into streamlined user-friendly processes. His experience, hunger and knowledge make him a great addition to Cardstream.”

Outside of work, Joseph is a keen swimmer and rower and has competed in the GB youth teams in both sports. In 2014 he was part of the team that won the Henley Royal Regatta, part of a historic day for his club who had never won it before. He has two young children too.

Cardstream Group creates cutting-edge solutions that are revolutionising the way businesses manage and process payments across the globe.

The business employs 88 people.
