Today, Global Payments (NYSE: GPN), a leading worldwide provider of payment technology and software solutions, and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) announced a new multi-year global partnership in which Global Payments will be the Official Payment Technology Provider for the top-ranked Prudential Center, the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League, and the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association.

The partnership leverages Global Payments’ technology in several distinct ways. Global Payments will integrate Genius – its powerful point-of-sale command center for business operations – across all food and beverage locations for the Prudential Center and the Devils. Global Payments’ technology will help to optimize how fans place, pay for, and receive their orders across the venue while optimizing back-end operations.

Global Payments will also serve as the ticketing payment provider for the 76ers, Devils, and Prudential Center, helping to deliver a secure, seamless payment experience across the fan journey – beginning online and at the box office.

This announcement is a part of HBSE’s global partnerships initiative. HBSE’s global partnership program allows partners to tap into HBSE’s properties across the NBA, NFL, NHL, NASCAR, and internationally while customizing activations across the broad footprint of professional sports brands and fans.

“This partnership reflects the power of our multi-brand global portfolio and shared commitment to innovation,” said Owen Morin, Chief Revenue Officer, Partnerships at HBSE. “By integrating Global Payments’ technology into our venues and operations, we’re providing fans with a seamless, secure platform for every transaction while getting them back to the action quickly.”

The partnership expands Global Payments’ professional sports portfolio, building on its commerce and payment technology that already powers 160 stadiums and venues around the world, representing every major professional sports league in the U.S., college football stadiums, iconic football stadiums in Europe, and more.

“We believe that sometimes the best experience is no experience at all,” said Terry Roberts, president of Merchant Solutions at Global Payments. “We do our job best when transactions are simple and fast, allowing fans to stay in the moment, whether at a game, concert or other event. HBSE is an amazing organization with some of the most exciting properties in the U.S., and Global Payments is thrilled that we will be playing a central role in delivering seamless commerce experiences for their fans.”
