FYI Strengthens UK team with Appointment of George Brown as Senior Client Success Consultant
FYI, the leading document management and process automation platform for accountants, has announced the appointment of George Brown as Senior Client Success Consultant.
This new appointment to their growing team further strengthens its UK operations and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences via its powerful practice management platform.
George brings a unique blend of technical expertise, accountancy knowledge, and client success experience, gained over a diverse career spanning IT, finance, and document management.
Having started his professional life in IT, he moved into accountancy and worked his way up to Finance Manager at the Cancer Research Institute at Cambridge University.
After deciding to apply his skills in a more technology-focused role, George joined Virtual Cabinet, where over a decade he progressed from the helpdesk to Technical Key Account Manager, overseeing relationships with some of the company’s largest clients.
He later worked as a specialist consultant for mid-to-large accountancy firms, helping them optimise document management solutions – including FYI and Intapp – as part of a consultative, hands-on approach.
In his new role at FYI, George will be responsible for ensuring every client onboarding experience runs smoothly, from the initial handover from sales through to full adoption of the platform.
His focus will be on making sure firms not only understand the software but feel confident, supported, and able to get maximum value from it.
“I’ve seen first-hand how poor implementation can undermine even the best software,” George explained. “My job is to make sure that doesn’t happen at FYI. I’ll be working closely with firms from day one to ensure they know what’s happening, why it’s happening, and how to make the most of it.
“If I can walk away knowing they’re happier and more confident than when I arrived, then I’ve done my job.”
George says what attracted him most to FYI was its clear vision for the future of accounting software.
“When I spoke with the team and saw what’s coming next for the platform, I was genuinely impressed,” he said. “The level of automation, the intuitive design, and the way it solves real problems for accountants is outstanding. I’m thrilled to have joined at such an exciting stage in the company’s UK growth.”
Ian Cooper, UK Country Manager at FYI, said: “George’s appointment marks another important step in our mission to ensure every FYI client receives the highest quality onboarding and ongoing support.
“His background means he understands the pressures firms face and the importance of getting implementation right from day one.
“I’m confident he will make a huge difference for our clients and play a key role in driving our growth in the UK.”
Rob Cameron, CEO of FYI, added: “George’s unique combination of technical knowledge, accounting background, and passion for client success make him a perfect fit for FYI.
“His appointment demonstrates our commitment to ensuring every firm we work with receives not just great software, but an exceptional onboarding experience.”
