Work In Fintech and payabl. Partner to Showcase AI at Third Work in Fintech Summit

Work in Fintech (‘WIF’), the social project dedicated to increasing diversity and social mobility for young people in fintech, today announces the return of payabl., one of Europe’s leading financial technology providers, as main sponsor of its third flagship event – The Work In Fintech AI Summit – taking place at Google’s Headquarters in London.

Founded in 2020, WIF offers students, graduates and young people looking to transition into fintech access to work experience, internship programmes, coaching and mentoring via its network of established fintechs, financial services businesses and institutions. Through this partnership, payabl. will contribute to WIF’s programme of activities for the year, including hosting lectures, hackathons, virtual and in-person events, and podcasts aimed at inspiring the next generation of fintech talent.

The AI-focused summit will gather over 60 successful applicants aged 18 to 24, and hundreds more virtually, for a full day of panel discussions, networking and an AI-powered hackathon supported by Google Cloud.

The event will feature 20 leading experts in fintech and technology, including Natalie Sutherland, Product Marketing Manager at payabl., who will speak on “What’s It Like Working in Fintech – A Gen Z Perspective”.

Esfira Zaka, CMO of Payabl, said: “At payabl., we believe in empowering the next generation of fintech leaders. Supporting Work in Fintech reflects our commitment to youth, innovation, and building a future where Gen-Z shapes the evolution of finance and technology.”

Matthew Cheung, Founder of Work in Fintech, added: “The payments industry has long been one of the most innovative sectors within fintech. We are therefore proud to renew our partnership with payabl., a pioneering payments business at the forefront of a thriving industry that will help us to provide the best experience, advice and education to ambitious young people looking to forge an exciting career in fintech. Partnering with payabl. allows us to offer young people an even greater breadth of opportunities and experiences, opening their eyes to new career possibilities and giving them the tools they need to succeed over the long term.”

Work in Fintech events challenge the perception that fintech is an exclusive and hard-to-reach industry. By sharing real stories, practical guidance, and direct access to industry leaders, WIF helps students see a clear path into fintech careers.

This ongoing partnership continues to expand the opportunities available to WIF participants, strengthening connections across a powerful network of leaders in fintech. payabl. joins a roster of high-profile financial services businesses supporting WIF, including Google Cloud, The Hg Foundation and ipushpull.
