CloseCross Expands Leadership Team With CTO & COO Appointments
CloseCross, the fully decentralized prediction market platform, has announced the key appointments of Marcin Zduniak to Chief Technology Officer and Hitesh Varma to Chief Operating Officer.
The latest appointments come as the company, which this year raised $3 million USD through Amnis Ventures to reach a post valuation of $60 million USD, amplifies its efforts to level the playing field and solve the pain-points seen in legacy prediction markets, such as complexity of use and understanding, high costs for occasional traders, unquantified risks and systemic opacity.
Zduniak’s role as CTO will see him take responsibility for the development of CloseCross’ platform and blockchain technology. The former CTO at crypto exchange trade.io will work closely with the senior engineers at CloseCross, while providing technical consultancy to the wider leadership team.
Commenting on his appointment, Zduniak said, “It is with great pleasure that I officially confirm my role with CloseCross. I have been working with Vaibhav (Kadikar) and the wider team for a number of years now and it’s been a privilege to contribute as technical consultant to the growth of the company from inception. Through my role as CTO, I look forward to leading the technical team as we build out our processes further and contribute to the inevitable success of the CloseCross project.”
London-born Varma, who joins CloseCross as COO after three years with international healthcare group Bupa, will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company and ensuring that its people and processes are aligned to business objectives. As CloseCross and its user base grows, Varma will be tasked with ensuring that the business can scale up while maintaining its high standards.
