UK family financial management app Know Your Dosh has integrated Moneyhub’s data intelligence platform to automate household account synchronization. For fintech professionals, this move highlights the shift from individual-centric banking to collaborative household finance, leveraging Open Banking to solve the friction of manual reconciliation and the persistent problem of dormant family assets.

What was announced

Know Your Dosh has selected Moneyhub’s technology to power its UK-based family financial management platform. The integration allows users to automatically sync various financial products across an entire household, including current accounts, savings, investments, and pensions. By utilizing Moneyhub’s FCA-regulated infrastructure, the app provides a single, shared view of a family’s total wealth without requiring manual data entry or the sharing of sensitive login credentials.

Since going live with Moneyhub’s data aggregation capabilities, Know Your Dosh already tracks more than £200 million in assets through its dashboard. The platform is specifically designed to address the "financial chaos" often associated with shared household lives, where assets are frequently spread across different generations and institutions. A key feature of the integration is the ability to set granular privacy controls. This ensures that while a household can view a consolidated budget, individual members can maintain privacy over specific accounts; for example, a partner can track joint finances without accessing the other's personal savings, or a parent can oversee household budgets without a teenager seeing the full picture.

The partnership aims to tackle the issue of dormant and forgotten assets in the UK, which are estimated to be worth approximately £89 billion. By automating the tracking process, the platform ensures that accounts do not fall out of sight as family circumstances change. Once connected, users unlock a full insights suite, including a feature that details a family’s true household budget based on real-time data rather than manual estimates.

"When I lost my father, the financial chaos that followed wasn’t because my family was careless, but because no one had ever created a space for us to understand our money together. That experience is why Know Your Dosh exists. We built it for every family that avoids the money conversation because it feels too complicated to start. Partnering with Moneyhub means our users no longer have to do the hard work of keeping their finances up to date. It happens automatically, securely, and in the background. And crucially, every family member sees exactly what they need to see, and nothing they don’t. The UK has the infrastructure to make this work at scale, and we’re excited to build here first."

The companies involved

Moneyhub is a prominent player in the Applied AI and data intelligence sector, providing the underlying infrastructure that allows financial institutions to access and analyze consumer data. Based in the UK, the company operates as an FCA-regulated entity, offering data aggregation and payment services that power a wide range of fintech applications. Moneyhub has established itself as a key enabler of Open Finance, moving beyond simple banking data to include pensions, investments, and mortgages in its ecosystem. The firm’s technology is frequently used by large financial institutions to provide personalized insights to their customers.

Know Your Dosh is a UK-based fintech focused on the family segment of the market. The company was founded to simplify financial administration for households, moving away from the individual-focused model that dominates much of the retail banking landscape. By providing a centralized dashboard for family wealth, the firm targets households managing complex financial lives across multiple generations. Unlike traditional personal finance managers, Know Your Dosh emphasizes collaborative visibility and the reduction of manual reconciliation, positioning itself as a solution for the administrative hurdles of shared money management.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has followed Moneyhub’s expansion across the financial services landscape extensively. In October 2025, the publication explored how One-Size-Fits-All Finance is Over: Moneyhub Enables Financial Institutions to Get Personal. The company has also been active in the debt management and savings sectors, as seen in its work to Help People Pay Debt Faster through an extended partnership with Experian.

Earlier in 2025, FF News reported on the launch of a Moneyhub Launches New Savings Goals API ‘recipe’, Unlocking the Ability to Effortlessly Save for Life's Significant Moments, designed to help users save for significant life events. Additionally, Moneyhub’s role as a foundational partner for new market entrants was highlighted when it joined forces with Moneyhub and Marygold & Co. UK Partner to Launch New Wealth App in late 2024.

What this means

This partnership signals a necessary evolution in the Open Banking narrative, shifting the focus from individual Personal Financial Management (PFM) to Household Financial Management (HFM). For years, the industry has struggled to account for the reality that most significant financial decisions—and the assets themselves—are shared. By solving the technical hurdle of multi-user visibility without compromising individual security, this integration puts pressure on traditional banks whose legacy systems often struggle to provide a unified view of joint and individual accounts. It raises a broader question for the sector: as data aggregation becomes commoditized, will the next competitive frontier be the intelligence applied to multi-generational wealth transfer and the prevention of asset dormancy?
