By Lauren Towner · 24 September 2026

Stakk Limited (ASX: SKK) has finalized its US$63 million acquisition of ParaScript, merging document processing AI with identity data to form a scaled digital trust platform. For fintech professionals, this consolidation signifies a move toward unified fraud prevention, combining high-speed document recognition with behavioral analytics to secure over 110 billion annual digital interactions across regulated global markets.
What was announced
The acquisition of ParaScript, LLC and ParaScript Management, Inc. by Stakk Limited was completed for a total consideration of US$63 million, or approximately A$88.7 million. This transaction brings ParaScript’s AI-powered document processing and recognition technology into Stakk’s existing ecosystem. The primary objective of the deal is the creation of a scaled, profitable, and AI-native digital trust infrastructure designed specifically for highly regulated industries such as banking and government services.
The combined entity now serves more than 300 enterprise customers, including several Fortune 500 companies and major financial institutions. Geographically, the business operates across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. A key technical component of the deal is the integration of ParaScript’s machine learning capabilities into Stakk’s Digital Persona Graph, a SaaS platform. This integration allows for the combination of document-level data with identity, behavioral, and contextual signals. The resulting platform is designed to identify AI-driven digital identity fraud and provide explainable decisions within milliseconds.
Leadership changes following the close of the deal include the appointment of Emiliano Giacchetti as Chief Executive Officer of Stakk IQ and ParaScript. Giacchetti is also expected to take on the role of Group Chief Executive Officer of Stakk Limited, pending the necessary shareholder approval at the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting. In this capacity, he will oversee the strategy, operations, and financial performance of the entire group and its subsidiaries.
"Stakk and ParaScript have come together around a clear and urgent global requirement: helping highly regulated organizations properly vet digital interactions, identities and documents. The combined group has the technology, intelligence, enterprise relationships and international reach required to address that challenge at scale. It also has a substantial contracted revenue base and a clear pathway to deliver the financial commitments made to shareholders."
Emiliano Giacchetti, Chief Executive Officer of Stakk IQ and ParaScript.
The companies involved
ParaScript is a Boulder, Colorado-based technology firm specializing in AI-powered document processing. The company’s core competency lies in using advanced machine learning to automate the recognition and processing of massive document volumes with high speed and accuracy. Its technology is primarily utilized by organizations to detect fraud at early stages and prevent financial losses by analyzing document authenticity and data accuracy at scale. ParaScript has established itself as a provider for global financial institutions and government agencies that require high-precision automation in their workflows.
Stakk Limited is a publicly traded company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange under the ticker SKK. The company operates in the digital trust and identity space, providing a SaaS platform that utilizes a Digital Persona Graph to analyze digital interactions. By focusing on behavioral and contextual data, Stakk helps organizations verify identities in real-time. The acquisition of ParaScript allows Stakk to expand its reach into document-centric fraud signals, creating a more comprehensive view of digital risk. The company’s board includes Arthur Lo, who has highlighted the necessity of AI-based solutions to counter the rise of synthetic identities and deepfakes in the current market.
What this means
This acquisition signals a maturing of the regtech sector, where the separation between document verification and behavioral identity analysis is rapidly disappearing. By integrating these two disciplines, Stakk is positioning itself to address the "identity gap" created by the proliferation of generative AI and sophisticated document manipulation. The industry is currently under immense pressure to provide "explainable" AI decisions; black-box fraud detection is no longer sufficient for regulated entities. As synthetic identities become harder to distinguish from legitimate ones, the market is shifting toward platforms that can synthesize multiple data streams—document, context, and behavior—in a single millisecond-level check. This move places significant competitive pressure on niche providers who only offer one piece of the identity puzzle.
