Convera and JustLogin have partnered to embed cross-border payroll capabilities directly into human resource workflows across Southeast Asia. For fintech professionals, this integration represents a significant move toward verticalized finance, allowing businesses to manage multi-currency salary disbursements and B2B payments without leaving their core HR platform, thereby reducing operational friction in highly fragmented regional markets.

What was announced

The partnership integrates Convera’s global payment infrastructure into JustLogin’s AI-powered HR cloud platform. This allows customers to initiate payroll and employee-related payments in up to 16 different currencies directly from the JustLogin dashboard. While the HR team manages the workflow, Convera operates as the licensed payment processor, handling the underlying execution, customer onboarding, and KYC checks under the oversight of more than 60 global regulators.

The solution is specifically tailored for companies expanding across Singapore and Southeast Asia, where managing distributed workforces across different regulatory regimes is a major hurdle. To ensure speed, the integration utilizes government-backed fast payment rails, including Singapore’s FAST, Malaysia’s DuitNow, and InstaPay in the Philippines. By sharing transaction data securely at the point of payment and returning status confirmations to the HR dashboard, the system aims to provide better visibility and faster salary disbursement for firms operating in these high-growth, multi-currency environments.

The timing of the launch on September 21, 2026, coincides with a period of rapid growth for the regional B2B payments market. The Southeast Asian B2B payments landscape was estimated at approximately USD 44.5 billion in 2024 and is projected to exceed USD 105 billion by 2033. This integration is currently available to JustLogin customers in Singapore and across supported Southeast Asian markets.

"Growing companies should not have to choose between regional expansion and payroll confidence. By embedding Convera’s global payments capabilities directly into JustLogin’s HR platform, we’re making it easier for businesses to hire, pay and scale across Southeast Asia with greater speed, visibility and control"

Patrick Gauthier, Group CEO of Convera.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has closely followed Convera’s expansion into embedded finance and its analysis of global market trends. What this means

This partnership signals that the "platformization" of B2B payments is moving into its next phase in Southeast Asia. For years, payroll and payments were siloed functions, but as the regional B2B market nears the $100 billion mark, the friction of switching between HR software and banking portals is becoming a competitive disadvantage. Legacy banks in the region are under increasing pressure to provide similar API-driven depth or risk losing the transaction volume of mid-market firms to agile HR-fintech hybrids. The move raises a broader question for the sector: will standalone payroll providers survive if they cannot offer integrated, regulated treasury and payment functions?
