Morph, Morpho, and Gauntlet Launch Institutional-Grade Yield Vaults for 125M Bitget Users
By Effie Foxtrot · 2 November 2026

Morph, Morpho, and Gauntlet have partnered with Bitget to bring institutional-grade on-chain yield strategies to 125 million users. By abstracting the complexities of DeFi protocols, the collaboration allows Bitget Exchange and Bitget Wallet customers to earn significant returns on USDC and Bitcoin positions without surrendering custody or navigating fragmented infrastructure.
What was announced
The collaboration integrates Morpho and Gauntlet’s Aera vaults directly into the Bitget ecosystem, using Morph’s Layer 2 infrastructure as the underlying settlement layer. The rollout is split into two distinct phases: the bgBTC (Bitget Wrapped Bitcoin) yield strategy is scheduled to launch on Bitget Exchange on July 31, followed by the USDC yield strategy on the self-custodial Bitget Wallet on August 3.
Through this integration, users can access yields of approximately 18% APY on USDC and 3% APY on bgBTC. A primary objective of the partnership is the removal of technical friction; users can put their assets to work while maintaining their BTC positions or USDC holdings within familiar interfaces. To ensure the secure movement of assets, the partnership utilizes Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). This enables bgBTC transfers between Morph’s Layer 2 infrastructure and other blockchains with high levels of cross-chain security.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between retail-friendly interfaces and sophisticated on-chain capital markets. By embedding Gauntlet’s data-driven risk management and Morpho’s lending infrastructure into Bitget’s platforms, the parties are attempting to scale institutional-grade finance to a mass-market audience. Morph powers the infrastructure to ensure all complexity is abstracted from the end user, facilitating a seamless experience for those holding digital assets.
"The future isn't about forcing users to learn new systems. It's about bringing opportunities to where users already are,"

The companies involved
Bitget is a major global cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, serving a massive user base of over 125 million. It has recently focused on expanding its ecosystem through its self-custodial Bitget Wallet and strategic international growth. Morpho is a prominent on-chain credit network that provides the underlying lending infrastructure for efficient capital utilization. The network has seen significant growth in recent months, with deposits reaching $17 billion.
Morph operates as a purpose-built payments and settlement network, functioning as a Layer 2 solution designed to connect institutional-grade yield infrastructure with consumer-facing applications. Gauntlet is a specialist in yield curation and risk management for on-chain capital markets, utilizing data-driven strategies to balance returns and risk within its Aera vaults. Together, these entities represent a cross-section of the decentralized finance (DeFi) stack, ranging from the infrastructure layer (Morph) and the primitive layer (Morpho) to the risk management layer (Gauntlet) and the distribution layer (Bitget).
What FF News has reported before
FF News has followed Bitget’s aggressive expansion and diversification strategy closely. This includes the exchange's move to expand its Southeast Asia footprint with the acquisition of a licensed Thai exchange. We have also covered Bitget’s efforts to bridge traditional and digital finance, such as its initiative to enable tokenized transfers for over 3,000 US stocks and its partnership with Sygnum to launch bank-grade off-exchange custody. Additionally, we reported on Morpho’s scaling milestones, including the appointment of Coinbase veteran Brian Foster as deposits surged to $17 billion.
What this means
This move signals a shift in how DeFi products are distributed to the mass market. By embedding high-yield strategies directly into a centralized exchange and its associated wallet, the industry is moving toward a model where DeFi acts as a backend settlement layer rather than a destination in itself. This puts significant pressure on traditional yield-bearing products and neo-banks that cannot compete with double-digit APYs on stablecoins. However, the reliance on complex vault strategies and Layer 2 bridges raises questions about the systemic risk of marketing such products to a retail-heavy user base. The success of this integration will likely determine if other major exchanges move to abstract on-chain credit markets for their customers.
