Gracy Chen, Former TV host. Crypto nerd. World traveler. CEO (recently promoted) @Bitget. Gracy Chen has over 10 years of management, marketing, and investment experience. She joined Bitget as Managing Director in 2022. During her tenure, she and her management team led Bitget in advancing its global strategy, signing celebrities such as Messi, building an international alliance network, and increasing Bitget's user base fourfold. The total trading volume and comprehensive strength have entered the top five in the world. Gracy actively promotes the combination of Blockchain and public welfare, leading Bitget to launch the #Blockchain4Youth action to encourage young talent to embrace blockchain technology, as well as the #Blockchain4Her public welfare action to support female entrepreneurs and practitioners. Gracy is also a columnist for well-known media outlets such as Forbes and Cointelegraph. In addition, she was invited to join Killer Whales, the first encrypted TV reality show produced by a Hollywood team, as a judge to find potential Web3 startups. Gracy holds a bachelor's degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and an MBA degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She will succeed Sandra Lou, who is stepping down to pursue personal business goals. Gracy Chen's involvement in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry began in 2014 during her tenure as a TV host. Interactions with knowledgeable guests like Tim Draper piqued her interest in this emerging field. This interest led to her investing in several crypto startups, including Bitkeep (now Bitget Wallet), a prominent Web 3 multi-chain wallet in Asia. In June 2022, Gracy Chen joined Bitget as its inaugural Managing Director (MD), taking on the responsibility of leading the platform's growth strategies and global expansion initiatives. During her tenure, Bitget's user base experienced significant growth, attributed to strategic partnerships and developing a comprehensive global affiliate network. Under her leadership, Bitget has quadrupled its growth over the past two years, surpassing 25 million users and becoming one of the leading platforms for futures and spot trading. Gracy has focused on user-centricity and diversity, launching initiatives like #Blockchain4Her to promote gender equality in the crypto industry. As Managing Director, Gracy has established three strategic pillars for Bitget in 2024: compliance, emerging markets, and Web 3. Significant progress has been made under her leadership, including developing Bitget Wallet as an on-chain layer of Bitget, investments to strengthen the ecosystem, and the launch of Bitget Card to integrate crypto into everyday life. Bitget is positioning itself to support the growing trend of spot crypto ETFs and to play a leading role in mainstreaming cryptography. Gracy maintains a long-term-focused philosophy, viewing Bitget as a marathon and working towards making fundamental changes to ensure sustainable growth and lasting successes, drawing inspiration from the successful journeys of Messi, the main ambassador, Binance founder Chenping Zhao, and co-founder He Yi whom she has had the opportunity to interact with. Gracy expresses gratitude to her team and Bitget users, inviting everyone to continue this incredible journey together through her letter after two years of experience with the company. Gracy remains determined to build a promising future for Bitget and continue to innovate in the crypto industry.
