Over in the European continent, the FF News team made their way to Merchant Payments Ecosystem 2023 in Berlin to talk to some of the most influential figures in the payments industry. “First, we spoke about the difference between embedded payments and embedded finance and then we talked about the fact that heavily verticalized industries are trying to create more stickiness into their verticals by offering additional services to their mainly SME type clients to lock them in or monetize different forms of business”

“You can see companies in the salon space or in the restaurant space also offering SME lending insurance products. That sort of stuff is fantastic to see because from a PSP perspective, it also opens up a lot of additional services that we can offer there. Issuing for instance being one of them.
