Bitstamp’s Jonathan Metais Reveals When Crypto Will Enter The Mainstream
In this virtual interview with FF News’ Douglas Mackenzie, Jonathan Metais, U.S. Senior Content Marketing Associate at Bitstamp gives us his insights on when he believes that crypto will become accepted by the mainstream economy in a similar way to fiat currency.
“I think we’re closer thank you think. The industry & the technology is there, we just don’t have the right platforms right now. Maybe not the right platform, but it’s like we don’t have platforms that are completely intuitive to show to new entrants and that comes with time obviously.”
“The technology has to be built before the platforms are built for mainstream users. Bitcoin is already being used around the world to purchase anything really, so that’s already in the works. But I think it will take maybe 5-6 years before we start to see things on a more regular basis.”
