After Surpassing $2M in Revenue at the Pre-Seed Stage, Plug and Play-Backed Incorpify AI Picks Washington, D.C. as Its U.S. HQ
The AI-native business services startup was recently awarded the FY26 Vitality Fund grant and will expand its U.S. technology and sales teams from its new Washington, D.C. headquarters.

Washington, D.C. is gaining a new addition to its technology ecosystem as Incorpify AI establishes its U.S. headquarters in the District and prepares to expand its engineering, artificial intelligence and sales operations.
The fast-growing startup, which serves more than 350 business clients, is raising a $5 million seed round to accelerate its U.S. expansion and position Washington as the operational center for its next phase of growth.
Technology and sales recruitment is scheduled to begin in Q4 2026.
Incorpify’s arrival supports a broader effort by the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, known as DMPED, to attract high-growth businesses, expand the District’s technology workforce and bring new economic activity into Washington, D.C.
For fiscal year 2026, the District allocated $6 million to the Vitality Fund and $1 million to the Growth Fund, creating targeted incentives for businesses that establish or expand operations locally. The Vitality Fund prioritizes organizations capable of generating substantial economic impact, with a preference for applicants planning to create at least 30 jobs over three years.
The broader strategy also includes $2.4 million for technology accelerators and incubators, while the District’s venture capital program is leveraging $52 million in combined public and private funding for early-stage, D.C.-based technology startups. Together, these initiatives support Washington’s ambition to attract entrepreneurs, expand its innovation ecosystem and generate long-term economic growth.
For Incorpify, the opportunity is twofold: expand its own technology and commercial operations in the District while helping other businesses establish and grow there.
The startup is developing an AI-native operating platform that connects business formation with accounting, bookkeeping, tax filing, payroll, banking, insurance, licensing and compliance.
Business owners typically manage these services through separate providers, disconnected systems and repetitive administrative processes. The same information is requested multiple times, documents are scattered across platforms, and entrepreneurs are left coordinating workflows that should already be connected.
Incorpify brings those services together through a shared business record and AI-native workflows.
When a business is formed, the platform captures its ownership structure, jurisdiction, activities, and corporate documentation. That information becomes the foundation for ongoing services, allowing customers to move from incorporation into accounting, tax, payroll, insurance and compliance without restarting the process each time.
AI agents support document collection, data extraction, workflow coordination, deadline monitoring and customer communication. Accountants, lawyers, tax professionals and other qualified specialists remain responsible for regulated or judgment-intensive work.
The model combines software automation with human execution, allowing Incorpify to deliver complex business services through one consistent customer experience.
Business formation serves as the initial entry point, while recurring services create an ongoing relationship that expands as customers grow. Each additional workflow strengthens the underlying business record, improves service delivery, and increases the value of the platform over time.
The result is more than a digital incorporation service. Incorpify is building the infrastructure businesses need throughout their lifecycle, from launching and hiring employees to managing finances and expanding into new markets.
“Washington, D.C. offers particular advantages for our business model. The District brings together policymakers, financial institutions, international organizations, institutional investors and a growing technology community. For a startup working across regulated services, business formation, financial operations and cross-border expansion, those connections create direct opportunities for partnerships and growth,” said Luca Rubino, Founder and CEO of Incorpify. “Just as importantly, D.C. has a clear strategy to attract ambitious businesses and build a strong technology ecosystem, which aligns with our goal of becoming a category leader.”
For the fast-growing startup, Washington D.C. is more than a new office location. It is the foundation for a U.S. growth strategy centered on execution, recurring business services, and AI-native infrastructure for the next generation of American businesses.
